ECAT
Complete list of Institutes in Pakistan offering Ecat program is available here.
When the candidates can apply for admission in the engineering and technology colleges and universities, they appear in the engineering college admission test 2020. The candidates can follow the ECAT, which is the entrance exams and the University of Engineering and Technology Lahore holds the entrance exams. The candidates, who pass their intermediate or FSc with Pre-Engineering or equivalent, they can apply for admission in the engineering colleges and universities across Punjab.
The candidates of engineering come under two big categories like computer science group and rest of engineering group. ECAT test is taken for rest of the engineering group, which is based on the four major subjects including Physics, Mathematics, English and Chemistry. The ECAT for the computer science group is managed on the basis of four subjects including Physics, Mathematics, English and Computer Sciences.
About 45,000 students appear in the ECAT test from all districts of Punjab each year and there are only 3000 seats for the candidates belong to Federal Territory Islamabad to do the BS/BSc Engineering.
