AKUEB Board Karachi Updates Grading Formula for SSC & HSSC
Aga Khan University Examination Board AKU-EB has announced the implementation of a revised grading formula for SSC-I and HSSC-I students. This update follows the notification issued by the Inter Boards Coordination Committee IBCC under the Ministry of Federal Education & Professional Training, Government of Pakistan, through Notification No. IBCC/182/Imp-03ii/7-1/2025, dated September 29, 2025. The students can get the latest information of AKUEB Board Karachi Updates Grading Formula for SSC & HSSC.
In line with this directive, the revised grading scheme will be applied according to the following schedule:
- Effective from the 1st Annual Exam 2026 for SSC-I / HSSC-I
- Effective from the 1st Annual Exam 2027 for SSC-II / HSSC-II
Updated Grading Scale
Percentage | Grade | Description |
96% to 100% | A++ | Extraordinary |
91% to 95% | A+ | Exceptional |
86% to 90% | A | Outstanding |
81% to 85% | B++ | Excellent |
76% to 80% | B+ | Very Good |
71% to 75% | B | Good |
61% to 70% | C+ | Fairly Good |
51% to 60% | C | Above Average |
40% to 50% | D | Emerging |
Below 40% | U | Ungraded |
Students who score less than 40% and receive an “Ungraded U” in any subject will be required to reappear for that subject.
This notification is issued in accordance with official government directives. Any future amendments, revisions, or extensions to the grading policy by the IBCC will be implemented as required.
