About Liaqat University Of Medical And Health Sciences Lumhs
Liaqat University of Medical and Health Sciences was established in 1951 at the Medical College being located at right bank of Indus river in Jamshoro. This medical college was upgrade asd medical university in 2011 with the mission to provide higher standard of medical and dental education to the students and Allied Hospital, DHQ hospital and Ghulam Muhammadabad hospitals are attached with it for clinical teachings of the students. LUMHS offers education in different disciplines including basic sciences, medicine & allied, surgery and allied, medical education and dental section. The students, who qualify in HSSC class annual exams with excellent marks, they apply for admission in MBBS and BDS programs and the admissions are managed under its admission rules and process and it manages the admission test of the candidates. When the candidates pass their admission test, they are considered qualified and admission is granted to the selected students in the desired subject. In the basic sciences, the students can get education in Anatomy, Physiology, Behavioral Sciences, Bio Chemistry, Pathology, Community Medicine, Pharmacology and Forensic Medicine. Liaqat University of Medical and Health Sciences offers education in medicine in Medical and Peads medical, Nephrology, Cardiology, Neurology, Dermatology, Oncology, Radiology, Pulmonology and Psychiatry programs.
