MDCAT 2025 Fee Increased by 12.5% Registration Dates & Exam Details
The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council PM&DC has officially announced a 12.5% increase in the MDCAT 2025 examination fee, adding Rs 1,000 to last year’s amount. With this revision, the total MDCAT test fee now stands at Rs 9,000 for local candidates.
According to PM&DC, this modest increase is aimed at covering operational expenses, exam security, and logistics for the nationwide MDCAT 2025 medical entrance test.
MDCAT Fee Hike Over the Years
- 2023: Rs 6,000
- 2024: Rs 8,000
- 2025: Rs 9,000
This means that over the past two years, the MDCAT fee has increased by a total of 50%, raising concerns among students and parents about affordability.
MDCAT 2025 to be Conducted by IBA Sukkur in Sindh
For Sindh candidates, the IBA Sukkur will be the official conducting body for the MDCAT 2025 exam.
Last year, 32,977 candidates from across Pakistan appeared in the MDCAT. Based on this figure, PM&DC is expected to generate approximately Rs 2.96 billion from registration fees alone this year. For overseas candidates, the registration fee is Rs 45,000 per applicant, further adding to PM&DC’s revenue, which is projected to reach nearly Rs 3 billion in total.
