NUMS Admissions 2025 MBBS & BDS Programs

The National University of Medical Sciences NUMS, Islamabad, has officially opened centralized admissions for its Constituent, Affiliated, and Armed Forces Administered Medical & Dental Colleges for the MBBS/BDS session 2025-26. As the admitting university under PM&DC regulations, NUMS conducts the centralized admission test NUMS MDCAT and manages the merit-based admissions process.

Eligibility Criteria

Open Merit Seats:

Pakistani citizens, including AJK & Gilgit-Baltistan, dual nationals, and overseas Pakistanis

Passing NUMS MDCAT 2025 held on Sunday, 28 September 2025 is mandatory

Minimum 55% in MBBS and 50% in BDS in MDCAT

Minimum 60% aggregate marks in FSC Pre-Medical or equivalent A-Level/12th Grade with Biology, Chemistry, and either Physics or Mathematics

Foreign Seats:

Candidates with foreign nationality, overseas Pakistanis, Green Card, Iqama, or Maple Card holders

Minimum 60% aggregate in HSSC/12th Grade or equivalent

Passing NUMS MDCAT 2025 with minimum 55% for MBBS and 50% for BDS, or valid MCAT USA/UCAT UK

Merit Determination Formula

Entrance Test MDCAT/MCAT/UCAT: 50%

HSSC/FSc Pre-Medical or Equivalent: 40%

SSC/Matric or Equivalent: 10%

How to Apply

Apply online only via NUMS Website

Possession of CNIC/NICOP/Passport is mandatory for students 18+, or Form-B/Juvenile Card for under 18

Equivalence certificates for foreign qualifications must be uploaded

Applications must be complete and final; incomplete or hard-copy submissions will not be accepted

Note: Applications for improvement of results must be submitted by 19 December 2025. Admission will be strictly based on merit and candidate preference.
