Islamabad Schools and Colleges Introduce Winter Timings
The Federal Directorate of Education FDE has announced updated winter timings for all government schools and colleges in Islamabad, effective from December 1, 2025, to January 31, 2026. These revised schedules apply to all FDE institutions, including Islamabad Model Schools and Colleges in both urban and rural areas, to better suit the winter season. The latest updates of Islamabad Schools and Colleges Introduce Adjusted Winter Timings are announced for the information of the candidates.
Federal Directorate of Education Implements New Winter Schedule
For single-shift schools, classes will run from 8:30 am to 2:00 pm Monday through Thursday, with Friday sessions ending at 12:30 pm. Montessori and Prep classes will operate from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm throughout the week. Early Childhood Education ECE timings are as follows:
- ECE-I: 8:30 am to 11:30 am
- ECE-II: 11:30 am to 2:30 pm
Double-shift schools will follow separate schedules: the morning shift will run from 8:15 am to 1:15 pm Monday to Thursday and until 12:15 pm on Fridays, while the evening shift will be held from 1:15 pm to 6:00 pm Monday through Thursday and 2:30 pm to 6:00 pm on Fridays.
Postgraduate colleges may continue classes from 8:30 am to either 2:00 pm or 4:00 pm based on their specific academic requirements. Area Education Officers have been instructed to ensure strict adherence and timely implementation of the new schedule.
Approved by the Director General of FDE, these revised timings are designed to support students and staff during the colder winter months in Islamabad.
