FBISE Approves New Exams Policy For Matric And Inter Levels
The Federal Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education FBISE, Islamabad is going to implement a new policy to conduct the exams for matric and intermediate level students. According to new policy announced by FBISE, The board will conduct the Secondary School Certificate SSC Exams and Higher Secondary School Certificate HSSC Exams twice in a year. The exams will be conducted in the month of May and September Every Year.
The policy will aid the students who fail in one or two papers; they will be able to avail a chance to clear the failed subjects in the second phase of Exams. The new policy of the Exams will be implemented from the session 2022. The New Exams Policy 2021 will be helpful in saving the time of the students.
In another development, the Board of Governors, FBISE has decided to conduct the annual Exams for middle standard class 8th under the Federal Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education for the first time. The subject combination for the exams is also introduced including Biology with Mathematics or Economics, Chemistry with Environmental Studies.
According to the official press release of the FBISE:
“This policy will make FBISE consistent with international practices”
Press release further adds:
“It is important to have a competency-based exam in Grade 8 to guide students towards education pathways. In these examinations, only key subjects/skills should be tested. FBISE shall split subjects for external exams over two years for Matric. Same will apply for Intermediate,”
