About Ned University Of Engineering And Technology
NED University of Engineering & Technology Karachi is an oldest public sector university. It was founded in 1921 as Prince Wales Engineering College. After sometimes it was renamed as NED Government Engineering College. The purpose of the institute was to train engineers to build Sukkur Barrage. NED University is one of the most reputable and prestigious higher education institute in Sindh.
In March 1977, after the up gradation of NED Government Engineering College, the NED University of Engineering & Technology was established under the act of the Provincial Assembly of Sindh. The NED University is approved by Higher Education Commission HEC, Islamabad.
