An Ex executive director of HEC and ex vice chancellor of LUMS University said that various Pakistanis have opened the medical colleges in Kyrgyzstan or they made investment in these colleges but it is not understood why they invested their amount in these medical colleges or universities in such countries. It is understood that all these universities receive the fee in dollars, which is very profitable business so such people opened the medical institutes in such countries.

The HEC and PMDC is responsible to allow the students to get admission in the foreign universities in various countries. It is said that the standard of medical education in such countries is low but most of the students, who cannot get admission in Pakistan or the medical education is expensive in Pakistan, so they make decision to apply for admission in medical programs in these countries at the comparatively less price.

National Registration Examination

The experts say that any Pakistani student, who complete his medical education from any foreign university in medical or dentistry, then it is compulsory for these students to pass the test under National Registration Examination NRE from the PMDC so that they can do the practice in the country and it is compulsory for them to get at least 50 marks in these tests. If a student comes back to the country leaving his medical education incomplete and he wants to complete his medical education in the country, then it is compulsory for them to pass the exams of National equivalence board.

HEC Updates Website to show Medical Institutes

The representative of HEC said that HEC has maintained its website and it is updated from time to time to show the names of the medical colleges and universities in foreign countries, in which the students can apply for medical and dental education. The students need to apply for admission in such institutes, which are present in the website so that they can complete their education in the recognized medical and dental colleges.
