PSRA Initiates Proceedings Against Three Private Institutions

According to the Elementary and Secondary Education Department, winter holidays were scheduled from January 1 to January 15 in summer zones, while in winter zones the break was announced from December 22, 2025, to February 28, 2026.

On the instructions of PSRA Managing Director Javed Iqbal, an inspection team was established, consisting of Assistant Director Syed Faizan Ali Shah and Assistant Muhammad Roshaan. A statement issued on Tuesday confirmed the formation of the committee.

The inspection team carried out visits in various areas of Peshawar district after receiving multiple complaints through different sources regarding non-compliance with the winter vacation notification.

During these inspections, The Educators School Rahatabad Campus, Ittefaq Model School and College Chamkani, and The Knowledge School Chamkani were found conducting classes during the holiday period.

The team verified that the schools had violated the joint winter vacation notification issued by the Elementary and Secondary Education Department, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and PSRA on December 19, 2025. Officials stated that despite repeated warnings, the schools continued their academic activities.

As a result of these confirmed breaches, PSRA has decided to proceed with strict legal action against the concerned institutions in accordance with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Private Schools Regulatory Authority rules and regulations.
