Punjab University Launches QR Code-Based Digital Fee Payment System
Punjab University PU has become the first public-sector university in Pakistan to introduce QR code-based fee payments after signing a Memorandum of Understanding MoU with JS Bank. The agreement enables the digitization of university fee challans using Zindigi’s Raast Dynamic QR system. The students can get the fresh information regarding Punjab University Launches QR Code-Based Digital Fee Payment System.
The MoU signing took place at the Vice Chancellor’s Office, with PU Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali and senior JS Bank officials formalizing the collaboration. Through this system, students can pay tuition and other fees digitally via mobile banking apps, ensuring real-time processing, reducing manual handling of challans, and enhancing transparency and efficiency.
Speaking at the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali emphasized the university’s commitment to modernizing administrative processes and making procedures more convenient for students. He noted that the Raast Dynamic QR system would enable faster, safer, and more convenient payments, supporting PU’s broader vision of a cashless, paperless campus, minimizing queues at banks, and streamlining financial operations.
JS Bank representatives highlighted that Zindigi’s Raast Dynamic QR is a secure, State Bank-approved solution for instant interbank transfers. They expressed confidence that the partnership would strengthen PU’s digital infrastructure and promote greater financial inclusion.
