Punjab Education Boards Launch QR-Based Digital Exams System

In a major effort to enhance security, streamline processes, and strengthen public trust, the Punjab government has approved the full digitization of examinations across all provincial education boards. Spearheaded by Muzammil Mahmood, Chairperson of the Task Force on Education, this initiative replaces traditional paper-based methods with a secure digital framework, marking a significant modernization of the province’s assessment system. The first workshop, scheduled for December 13, targets system analysts and programmers from all nine Punjab boards. Conducted by experts from BISE Lahore and the Inter-Board Committee of Chairmen IBCC, the training covers:

Question Item Banking QIB: Digital creation and secure assembly of question papers.
Data Analysis and Management System DAMS: Platform for processing results and generating educational insights.
E-Sheet Handling: Practical management of secure digital scripts from distribution to compilation.

Enhanced Security: Tampering and impersonation are easily detectable through layered digital protections.
