PU Annouces Admission Test 2025 for Undergraduate Degree Programs

The University of the Punjab, Lahore, has announced that the Second Admission Test for undergraduate programs for the academic year 2025-26 will be held tentatively on 20th July 2025. All candidates aspiring to enroll in the university’s undergraduate courses must appear in this mandatory admission test.

Who Can Apply

Students who have passed Higher Secondary School Certificate HSSC or an equivalent qualification Grade 12.

Students awaiting results of their final HSSC or equivalent exams.

Candidates who appeared in the First Admission Test held on 15th June 2025 can also apply to improve their score; the higher score will be considered for admission.

PU Admission Test Categories

The test will be conducted across seven categories aligned with different academic streams:

The admission test holds a 25% weightage in the overall merit calculation for admissions.

Important Information

Candidates must qualify in the admission test to apply for specific programs when admissions open.

Results of previous year’s PU admission tests will not be valid for the 2025-26 admissions.

The test will be held in major cities across Pakistan.

important Notes

For admission to engineering programs such as Chemical, Energy, Electrical, Metallurgy & Materials, Industrial Engineering, PU admission test is mandatory according to PEC regulations. Scores from E-CAT UET or NUST tests are also accepted.

Both LAT and PU Admission Test are required for admission to LLB programs.

Admission to the College of Art & Design requires the PU Admission Test plus a separate Drawing/Aptitude Test.

MDCAT or PU Admission Test scores are valid for the Pharm-D program admission.

Specific admission notices for various departments will be published separately in national newspapers and on the official website www.pu.edu.pk.
