Pakistan to Provide Scholarships for Bangladeshi Students
Pakistan is set to introduce a scholarship program aimed at offering opportunities for Bangladeshi students to study at the countrys top universities. Collaborative Discussions Underway
An official from Pakistans Ministry of Education revealed that discussions with leading universities are in progress to finalize the proposal. The goal is to secure scholarships for Bangladeshi students in various academic fields. Pakistani officials have already met with their Bangladeshi counterparts in Dhaka to advance the discussions.
Driven by Foreign Affairs Request
The scholarship initiative is said to be a response to a request from Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The aim is to encourage more Bangladeshi students to pursue higher education at renowned Pakistani institutions, further enhancing bilateral relations between the two countries.
Details Still Being Finalized
While the exact number of scholarships has yet to be determined, officials from the Ministry of Education have confirmed that the program will offer a significant number of opportunities. "We are still in the planning stages, but the scholarships will be numerous," an official stated.
Existing Scholarships for Other Countries
Pakistan is already providing numerous scholarships to students from neighboring countries, such as Afghanistan and Sri Lanka, through the Higher Education Commission. These scholarships are part of federal government initiatives to promote regional educational development.
