New Teaching Practice Analysis App Launched for Punjab Teachers

The Punjab Education Department has launched a digital platform aimed at monitoring and assessing the performance of teachers throughout the province. This initiative introduces the “Teaching Practice Analysis Form” app, which is now integrated into the Human Resource Management System HRMS portal to streamline teacher evaluations. Daily Teaching Records and Video Submissions
Under the new system, all teachers are required to upload daily records of their teaching activities onto the HRMS portal. As part of the assessment, teachers must also submit a short classroom video, with a maximum file size of 5 MB, demonstrating their teaching methods and engagement with students.
Officials explained that this approach is designed to digitally document professional skills, promote transparency, and enhance the overall quality of education by providing a standardized performance assessment across schools.
Strengthening Accountability and Standards
The education department emphasized that the app will standardize monitoring procedures for teachers across the province and reinforce accountability within the teaching workforce. By digitally tracking classroom performance, the system aims to ensure consistent teaching quality and professional development.
Stipend Program for College Intern Teachers
In parallel, the Punjab government has approved a stipend package exceeding Rs. 4.21 billion for college intern teachers. This program will benefit over 8,000 interns and encourages young graduates and intermediate-level students to gain practical teaching experience in schools.
Under the scheme:
- Intermediate-level interns will receive Rs. 55,000 per month for seven months.
- BS-level interns will be paid Rs. 65,000 per month for ten months.
Upon completion, interns will also receive experience certificates, enhancing their professional credentials and employability.
Promoting Inclusivity in the Internship Program
The internship initiative also includes reserved seats for marginalized groups to foster inclusivity:
- 404 seats for minorities
- 243 seats for persons with disabilities
- 40 seats for transgender individuals
This approach ensures that the program not only provides practical training but also supports diverse participation in the teaching profession.
