HEC & PIEAS Manages 21st NSTC for International Science Olympiads

Higher Education Commission and Pakistan Institute of Engineering and Applied Sciences have made the collaboration to manage the 21st National Science Talent Contest for the schools and colleges all over Pakistan to pick the best and most intelligent students, who can qualify this contest and represent Pakistan in the International Science Olympiads. The candidates can get the updates of HEC & PIEAS Manages 21st NSTC for International Science Olympiads. The intelligent students of the government and private schools and colleges are invited to appear in this contest by applying online through their schools.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidates must be current students of pre-9th, 9th, 10th and 11th grade matric/O-Level or FSc-1 A-Level-1

The students must have aggregate marks of 60% or more in core subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics in last exams.

The age of the contestants will not over 20 years on 30th June 2025.

The students of FSc-II or A-level Part 2 and university students are not allowed.

Screening Test Centers

The screening test of the candidates for 21st NSTC will appear in this contest in different cities across Pakistan, which should be near to their home towns. These screening test centers are mentioned as under:

Online Registration and Contest Date

The candidates can carry out the free online registration on the official website by the closing date of 18-02-2024 and the contest will be managed on 03-03-2024.

International Science Olympiads

The students must note that the international science Olympiads will be managed in different countries. The 66th International mathematical Olympiad will be held in Australia, 57th international Chemistry Olympiad will be conducted in UAE, 36th International Biology Olympiad will be organized in Philippines and 55th International Physics Olympiads will be managed in France.

Awards Winners

The participants, who will get first position, they will be given gold medal with the cash prize of Rs.220,000, the second number will get the silver medal with cash prize of Rs.80,000/-, the third will be awarded with bronze medal with Rs.60,000/-, the next will get Honorable Mention award with cash Rs.50,000 and the participation award will be added with cash prize of Rs.20,000.

Participation Certifications and PIEAS Offer

The candidates will get the updates that top 500 participants in each subject will get the participation certificate. PIEAS has also mentioned that the members of the Olympiads teams will get admission in the BS programs in this institute without appearing in the entrance exams.
