Islamabad, The Higher Education Commission HEC of Pakistan has officially announced the opening of applications for the Higher Education Aptitude Test HAT 2025. This national-level test is mandatory for students seeking admission in MS/M.Phil. and Ph.D. programs in Pakistani universities, as well as for those applying for HEC scholarships — both local and international.

About the HAT Test

The Higher Education Aptitude Test HAT is designed to evaluate students’ academic readiness and critical thinking skills for postgraduate studies. The test is accepted by multiple public and private sector universities across Pakistan that require HAT scores for admission in advanced degree programs.

Who Should Apply?

HEC encourages the following categories of students to apply:
