Engineering Programs Admissions 2025 open in University of the Punjab

The University of the Punjab, Lahore, announces the schedule and details for the Admission Test for Undergraduate Programs for the academic year 2025–2026. All prospective applicants are informed that appearing in the PU Admission Test is mandatory to be eligible for admission in any undergraduate program offered by the university.

Test Schedule

Tentative Test Date: Sunday, 15 June 2025

All candidates must ensure their availability for the test on the specified date.

Who Can Apply for the Admission Test

The PU Admission Test is open to:

Students who have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate HSSC or equivalent/Grade 12 education.

Students who have appeared in final examinations of HSSC or equivalent and are awaiting results.

Admission Test Categories & Streams

The Admission Test is organized into seven categories, aligned with students’ academic backgrounds. Applicants must choose the test category corresponding to their intended field of study:

Important: The Admission Test result will contribute 25% towards the total merit calculation for undergraduate admissions.

Program-Specific Admission Requirements:

Engineering Programs

Candidates applying to B.Sc. Engineering programs e.g., Chemical, Energy, Electrical, Metallurgy & Materials, and Industrial Engineering must appear in the PU Admission Test as per Pakistan Engineering Council PEC regulations.

Scores of E-CAT UET and NUST Tests are also accepted for engineering admissions.

LLB Programs

Applicants must appear in both LAT Law Admission Test and the PU Admission Test for eligibility.

College of Art & Design

Along with the PU Admission Test, candidates must pass a Drawing/Aptitude Test, which will be conducted separately at the College of Art & Design.

Doctor of Pharmacy Pharm-D

Candidates can qualify for admission with either the PU Admission Test or MDCAT scores.

Note: Results from the previous years PU Admission Test are NOT valid for the 2025–2026 admissions cycle.

Registration Details

Last Date to Register Online: 26 May 2025

Registration is mandatory to appear in the test and apply for undergraduate programs once admissions are announced.
