Bahira University HEC Coastal Region Higher Education Scholarship 2023
In a significant stride towards fostering education in Balochistan, Bahria University is collaborating with the Higher Education Commission HEC, Pakistan, to offer undergraduate scholarships for the academic year 2023. This initiative, titled the "Coastal Region Higher Education Scholarship Programme for Balochistan," specifically targets outstanding students from the Gwadar, Lasbela/Hub, Kech Turbat, and Awaran districts.
Eligibility Criteria:
To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must hold a domicile/local certificate from one of the specified districts and have completed 12 years of education with a minimum of 50% marks in both Secondary School Certificate SSC and Higher Secondary School Certificate HSSC or equivalent. Students already enrolled in a BS program up to one academic year/session prior to the advertisement are also encouraged to apply, provided they meet other criteria.
Application Process:
Prospective candidates can submit their applications online through the HEC website at https://scholarships.hec.gov.pk. A non-refundable application processing fee of Rs. 500/- is required to be deposited in Habib Bank Limited. Notably, hard copies of applications and documents are not necessary during the initial application phase.
Selection Process:
Applicants will be short-listed based on academic credentials and an aptitude test conducted by HEC. A minimum of 50% marks in the HEC test is essential. The scholarship will be awarded on both merit and district quota basis, and a merit list will be prepared based on online information provided by applicants.
