Abbottabad University Exams Cancelled Following Student Protests
Exams at Abbottabad University of Science and Technology were called off and the campus closed after students protested the killing of student leader Abdullah Khan at the university’s main gate earlier this week. Protesters claimed that Abdullah Khan was associated with Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf, while witnesses said armed individuals fled the scene after the attack. Local politician Uzair Sher Khan joined the demonstrations, warning that protesters might block the Hazara Motorway if arrests were not made swiftly.
The university administration assured students of full cooperation with law enforcement and confirmed that steps are being taken to bring the perpetrators to justice.
