King Edward Medical University KEMU, Lahore, a prestigious institution known for excellence in medical education and research, is pleased to announce admissions for its Ph.D. programs for the academic session 2025–2028.

Biochemistry
Community Medicine
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must possess the following qualifications:
MBBS or BDS
Along with one of the following postgraduate qualifications: M.Phil / MD / MS / MDS / FCPS or an equivalent degree recognized by the relevant authority.
Entry Examination Structure
Admission is through a competitive entry test, consisting of three components:
Component Marks
Written Paper 100
Video Projected Clinical Exams 30
Interview 20
Total 150
1. Written Paper 100 Marks
Format: 100 MCQs Single Best Answer
Subjects: General Embryology, General Pathology, Physiology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Analytical Abilities, English Language
Conducted as per Ph.D. Regulations 2015 of KEMU
2. Video Projected Examination VPE 30 Marks
Includes 15 videos/slides related to relevant specialties
Also conducted per Ph.D. Regulations 2015
3. Interview 20 Marks
Candidates must bring original academic documents
Conducted by a committee appointed by the Vice Chancellor
Minimum Passing Criteria:
Candidates must secure at least 70% cumulative marks to qualify.
Note: Passing the test does not guarantee admission. Final selection is based on merit and availability of training slots. All slots are unpaid.

Interviews Qualified Candidates Tuesday, 23 September 2025

Original bank draft/pay order in favor of Vice Chancellor, KEMU
Valid email address mandatory
Applications can be submitted by hand or via post/courier within the deadlines mentioned above.
Important Notes
Applications without required documents or email address will not be entertained.
Entry test fee is non-refundable.
Entry test results are valid only for this session.
Government servants must apply through the proper channel with an NOC.
Dual enrollment in training programs at different institutions e.g., KEMU and CPSP is not permitted under PM&DC/PMC rules.
