The administration of University of Karachi has announced that all morning classes will temporarily be conducted through online platforms starting from March 9 and continuing until the end of the holy month of Ramadan. This decision was shared through an official notification issued by the university authorities. Temporary Online Learning Arrangement Announced for Morning Sessions
According to the statement released by the Karachi University, the step has been taken to make things easier for students during the final phase of Ramadan, which is commonly referred to as the third Ashra. During this period, many students face difficulties in maintaining their regular schedules due to fasting, altered daily routines, and other religious commitments. The university administration considered these factors while making the decision.
Another important reason behind this move is the recent rise in fuel prices, which has made transportation more challenging and expensive for many students. By allowing morning classes to be held online, the university aims to reduce travel-related problems and provide greater convenience for students who commute from different parts of the city.
The notification further explained that the change applies only to classes scheduled in the morning hours. Other academic activities, including classes planned later in the day, will continue according to the usual schedule unless any further instructions are issued. The online arrangement will remain effective throughout the remaining days of Ramadan.
University officials clarified that the decision was taken after careful consideration and has received formal approval from the Vice Chancellor of University of Karachi. The administration believes that this temporary shift to online learning will help students manage their academic responsibilities more comfortably during the fasting month while minimizing the impact of transportation challenges.
With this arrangement in place, students will attend their morning lectures and academic sessions remotely, ensuring that their studies continue smoothly without disruption during the sacred month.
