UoK Admission Test Results Show Sharp Decline in Pass Rate
University of Karachi has announced the results of its recent admission test, showing a passing rate of just 39%. Out of 7,226 applicants, only 2,828 candidates successfully cleared the exam. The students can get latest updates of UoK Admission Test Results Show Sharp Decline in Pass Rate.
Only 39% of Candidates Pass KU Admission Exam; New Digital Forensic Centre Inaugurated
University statistics reveal that the majority of successful students—about 1,735 candidates—scored between 50 and 60 marks, while 29.3% of those who passed achieved scores in the 60–70 range. Only 263 candidates obtained 70 marks or above, and just 20 students scored between 80 and 90 marks. Notably, no student scored above 90, leaving only 0.28% of candidates in the 80-plus bracket.
The admission test included 20 different academic programs, such as Pharmacy, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, and Business Studies.
In a separate development, the University of Karachi inaugurated the Centre of Digital Forensic Science and Technology CDFST — the first university-based digital forensic facility in Sindh. Funded by the federal government through the Higher Education Commission HEC, the Rs. 308 million centre spans 38,000 square feet and houses modern laboratories, classrooms, and administrative offices.
The centre is designed to promote research, training, and cybersecurity development, and to prepare skilled digital forensic professionals. While the construction has been completed, academic activities are expected to commence in the coming months.
