SIOVS Admissions 2025 BS Degree Programs
The Sindh Institute of Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences SIOVS, Hyderabad, is pleased to announce admissions 2025 for its HEC-approved BS Optometry degree program for the Fall 2025 session.
About BS Optometry Program
Optometry is a vital healthcare profession focused on primary eye care. Trained optometrists assess vision, prescribe corrective lenses, and detect eye conditions early to prevent vision loss. The BS Optometry at SIOVS is a comprehensive 5-year degree designed to equip students with knowledge and skills in:
Vision Assessment and Correction: Examining patients’ eyes and prescribing glasses or contact lenses.
Vision Rehabilitation: Assisting patients with low vision using specialized devices and training.
Community Eye Health: Participating in vision screening camps, school eye health programs, and initiatives to prevent blindness.
Early Diagnosis: Detecting eye diseases early and referring patients to ophthalmologists for specialized treatment.
Graduates will be well-prepared to contribute to eye care services at both community and clinical levels.
Admission Details and Important Dates
Application Forms Available: From Tuesday, 1st July 2025
Last Date to Submit Applications: Tuesday, 5th August 2025
Admission Test Date: Wednesday, 20th August 2025
Venue and timing will be provided on the admit card

Applicants must submit the completed application along with all required documents and the application fee of PKR 7,000.
Eligibility Criteria
Higher Secondary Certificate HSC / Intermediate FSc Pre-Medical or equivalent from recognized boards BISE, AKU-EB, Cambridge.
Applicants must have completed their Intermediate in 2023, 2024, or 2025.
Minimum 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
Age between 17 to 23 years at the time of admission.
Domicile: Open to all districts of Sindh. One seat reserved for candidates from other provinces including KPK, Balochistan, Punjab, and AJK.
Seats and Reservations
20 seats on open merit for candidates from Sindh.
1 seat reserved for eligible candidates from other provinces.
