SED Summer Vacation Extension till 15 July

School Education Department has extended the summer vacations in the government and private schools of Punjab province till 15 July. Before this, the SED department announced the summer vacations in the public and private schools from 01 April to 30 June but it is now extended to 15 July because of the current onset of the coronavirus pandemic in the country. The Punjab Education Minister clarified that the decision regarding reopening of the schools all over the province has not been taken yet and the educational institutes will open on 15 August 2020 provided that the improvement in the COVID-19 situation. It will also be decided to open the schools with the start of the classes in the phase wise and not all classes will be opened once. The schools will give education in two shifts and the classes will be managed in these two shifts and from 20 to 25 students will attend the class at a time and beyond this number, the students will not be allowed to attend their classes. The students will wear face masks and they will also keep the social distancing all the time in the school hours.
