PhD Clinical Sciences – Gastroenterology
PhD Clinical Sciences – General Medicine
PhD Clinical Sciences – Psychiatry
PhD Clinical Sciences – Infectious Diseases
Eligibility Criteria For All PhD Programs
MBBS from a PM&DC/HEC-recognized medical institution
Valid PM&DC Registration
Minimum CGPA 3.0/4.0 Semester System or First Division Annual System
And one of the following postgraduate qualifications:
FCPS, MD, MRCP, or equivalent in relevant specialty recognized by PM&DC/HEC
Entrance Test Requirement:
60% score in RMU’s PhD Entry Test OR
60th percentile in GRE Subject Test valid and approved
Admission Test & Interview Process
Entrance Test will be conducted on-campus at RMU, Tipu Road, Rawalpindi
Candidates passing the RMU Entry Test 60% minimum will be invited for an interview
Applicants with a valid GRE Subject Test 60 percentile are exempted from the RMU test but must appear for the interview
Additional Application Requirements
Applicants must submit a Statement of Purpose 800–1000 words detailing:
Proposed research topic/title
Background and research understanding
Intended research impact
Motivation and passion for the field
Important Notes:
Applicants working in government/semi-government/autonomous bodies must provide a valid NOC at the time of interview
Incomplete or late applications will not be considered
No TA/DA will be provided for test/interview
