Program Details & Total Seats

• Program: Master of Science in Nursing MSN
• Duration: 2 Years
• Total Seats: 30 Seats

• Academic Qualification: Minimum of 10 Years of schooling Matric.
• Diploma: 03 Years Diploma in Nursing + 01 Year Diploma in Midwifery or any Post Basic Specialty diploma registered with PNMC.
• Experience Requirements:
  • 01-year experience as RN after Diploma in Nursing.
  • 02 years experience as RN for admission in Post RN BSN Degree Program as specified by HEC vide Notification dated 26.04.2018 and registered with PNC.
  • 02 years experience as RN, of which a minimum of 01 Year experience as RN after Post RN BSN clinical includes inpatient and outpatient in primary and tertiary care, as well as teaching and research.

• Academic Qualification: 12 Years schooling FSc Pre-Medical.
• Degree: 04 Year BS Nursing registered with PNMC.
• Internship & Experience:
  • 01-year internship bedside care.
  • 01-year experience as RN after BSN clinical includes inpatient and outpatient in primary, secondary, and tertiary care, excluding the 1-year internship.

Admission Schedule

1. Online Guidelines: Visit the official website www.rmur.edu.pk for detailed guidelines and updates.
2. Application Submission:
   • Complete the application form with personal details, name, domicile, contact info, address, nationality, gender, and date of birth.
   • Submit the completed application along with required documents by hand or via Pakistan Post to College of Nursing, Holy Family Hospital, Rawalpindi by August 15, 2026.
3. Processing Fee:
   • Attach a Bank Draft of Rs. 5000/- non-refundable payable in favor of Vice Chancellor, Rawalpindi Medical University, Rawalpindi NTN Number: 9020385-0.
4. Entrance Test Pattern:
   • Conducted by RMU on August 22, 2026 Passing Marks = 50%.
   • Format: MCQs-based Nursing 60%, English 20%, Analytical Reasoning 10%, Computer Skills 10%.
5. In-Service Candidates: Candidates currently in service must submit an NOC and apply through the proper channel.
6. Foreign Qualification: Candidates with foreign qualifications must submit an equivalence certificate issued by HEC/PNMC.
