Punjab Education Department to Privatize Around 3000 Schools
The Punjab Education Department has begun the process of privatizing 2,903 government schools as part of the third phase of its privatization initiative, according to a report by the electronic media. The students and teachers can get the latest updates of Punjab Education Department to Privatize Around 3,000 Schools.
Schools Eligible for Outsourcing
This phase will focus on outsourcing schools with at least 100 students and two teachers, along with upgraded high schools. Additionally, middle and high schools that are currently operating without teachers will also be privatized.
Progress in Outsourcing
In previous phases, the privatization process has already seen significant numbers of schools outsourced. In the first phase, 5,863 schools were privatized, followed by 4,453 schools in the second phase.
Future Outlook for Privatization
By the end of the third phase, approximately 13000 government schools will have been privatized. After the completion of this process, only 35,000 government-run schools will remain under the Punjab government’s control.
