PIEAS Announces 23rd National Science Talent Contest NSTC-23 2025
The Pakistan Institute of Engineering & Applied Sciences PIEAS, in collaboration with the Higher Education Commission, invites talented students to participate in the 23rd National Science Talent Contest NSTC-23. Through this prestigious program, students have the opportunity to represent Pakistan at the International Science Olympiads 2027, including:
68th International Mathematical Olympiad IMO, Hungary
59th International Chemistry Olympiad ICO, Chinese Taipei
38th International Biology Olympiad IBO, Hungary
57th International Physics Olympiad IPO, Poland
All Olympiads will take place in July 2027.
Awards and Recognition
NSTC-23 offers students a chance to earn cash prizes and certificates:

Silver Medal | 250,000 |
Bronze Medal | 100,000 |
Honorable Mention | 50,000 |
Participation | 25,000 |
The Top 500 students in each subject will receive Participation Certificates.
Members of the Olympiad teams will gain direct admission to PIEAS BS programs without any entrance test.
Alumni have earned undergraduate scholarships at top global universities, including MIT, Harvard, and Cambridge.
Training Opportunities
Selected students will benefit from training by local and international experts, including the possibility of participating in international training camps, preparing them for global competitions.
Eligibility Criteria
Current students of Pre-9th, 9th, 10th, 11th grade Matric/O-Level or FSc/A-Level Part-1
Minimum 60% aggregate marks in core subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics
Age less than 20 years as of 30th June 2027
University students are not eligible
Screening Test Locations
Screening tests will be conducted in 19 major cities across Pakistan:
Abbottabad, Bahawalpur, Chitral, Faisalabad, Gigit, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Hyderabad, Islamabad/Rawalpindi, Karachi, Lahore, Multan, Muzaffarabad, Peshawar, Quetta, Sargodha, Sukkur, Swat, D.I.Khan
Important Dates
Last Date to Apply: 31st January 2026
Screening Test: 15th February 2026
