The Government of Pakistan has launched an extensive scholarship program, providing 4,500 fully-funded scholarships for Afghan students. These scholarships cover a variety of fields, including Medicine, Engineering, Agriculture, Management Sciences, Computer Science, and several other disciplines. This initiative is designed to strengthen educational and cultural ties between Pakistan and Afghanistan while contributing to Afghanistan’s reconstruction through human resource development. Scholarship Benefits

The scholarships are fully funded and include tuition fees, living allowances, book allowances, and hostel expenses for selected students. Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must carefully review the eligibility criteria before applying:

  • Undergraduate Programs: Candidates must have 12 years of education, be 17 to 23 years old, and secure at least 60% marks in general subjects or 65% in medical and engineering fields, as per the IBCC Pakistan equivalency formula.
  • MS/M.Phil Programs: Applicants should not exceed 35 years of age and must have completed 16 years of education with a minimum 2.5 CGPA out of 4.0 in their bachelor’s or master’s degree.
  • PhD Programs: The maximum age is 35 years for non-faculty applicants and 40 years for faculty members. A minimum of 18 years of education and a 3.0 CGPA out of 4.0 in MS/M.Phil is required.

Application Process

All applications must be submitted online via the official portal: pakafghan.hec.gov.pk. A step-by-step user manual is available on the website to guide applicants throughout the process. It is important to note that hard copy submissions will not be accepted under any circumstances.
