NUMS Undergraduate Fall 2026 Admissions Now Open

The National University of Medical Sciences NUMS has officially announced the opening of Undergraduate Admissions for the Fall 2026 session. As a prestigious Federal Public Sector University, NUMS is committed to advancing healthcare and research in Pakistan through a modern academic framework. Programs are offered at the specialized King Hamad Institute of Nursing & Allied Medical Sciences KHINAMS in Chak Shahzad, Islamabad.

Offered Undergraduate Programs

The university is inviting applications for a diverse range of allied health sciences and biomedical research programs. Eligibility requirements generally include a minimum of 50% marks in FSc or A-Level examinations, depending on the specific department. Available programs include:

Nutrition & Dietetics: BS Human Nutrition & Dietetics and BS Food Science & Technology.
Public Health: BS Public Health.
Psychology: BS Psychology.
Biological Sciences: BS Microbiology, BS Biotechnology, and BS Molecular Biology & Genetics.

Admission Test and Merit Criteria

To be eligible for admission, candidates must qualify for at least one of the following tests: NUMS MDCAT 2025, NAT conducted by NTS, or USAT conducted by HEC. Please note that NAT and USAT scores have a validity period of one year.

The merit determination process for selection is based on the following weighted formula:

Entrance Test NUMS MDCAT/NAT/USAT: 50% weightage.
HSSC or equivalent: 40% weightage.
SSC/O-Level: 10% weightage.

The online registration process for the Fall 2026 session begins on Tuesday, 30 June 2026. Students should note the following critical deadlines:

Last date to apply online with Regular Fee Rs. 2500: Thursday, 06 August 2026 4:00 PM.
Last date to apply online with Late Fee Rs. 3000: Monday, 17 August 2026 4:00 PM.
Tentative Display of Merit List: Tuesday, 01 September 2026.
Commencement of Session: Monday, 14 September 2026.

Important Application Guidelines

Applications must be submitted exclusively through the online admission portal on the universitys official website, as hard copies are not acceptable. Additionally, the university provides essential campus facilities including private hostel accommodations, transportation services, and various opportunities for scholarships and extra-curricular activities. Government policies are also strictly followed, including a 5% quota for children of Overseas Pakistanis. Applicants falling under specific quotas, such as the W&R Directorate, GHQ, or Shuhada/In-Service Death Quota, must apply through the online portal and complete the required secondary application procedures as directed.
