Laptop Distribution Quota for Balochistan Students Under PM Youth Laptop Scheme

The Executive Committee of the National Economic Council ECNEC is anticipated to endorse a revised quota for the phased distribution of laptops among students in Balochistan. The proposed increase aims to raise the merit-based allocation from the current 6 percent to 18 percent. Planning Commissions Submission:

Merit Criteria for Laptop Distribution:
According to the proposed merit criteria, laptops will be distributed across all degree programs based solely on merit. The quota for each program will be determined according to the enrollment in that program. Specific guidelines include:
- Students achieving 70 percent marks in the semester system 2.88 CGPA and 60 percent marks for annual system students.
- Different requirements for BS 1st Semester Students and MS/Ph.D. 1st Semester Students.
- A defined formula for CGPA/GPA to percentage conversion.
- Selection of top meritorious students against the allocated quota of each department/program for the award of laptops.
