Karachi University Suspends Classes & Exams on March 2 2026

The University of Karachi UoK has officially announced the suspension of all academic activities for Monday, March 2, 2026. According to a notification issued by the Registrar, Prof. Dr. Imran Ahmad Siddiqui, the decision was made with the approval of the Vice Chancellor to observe a day of mourning.
Reason for Suspension
The university has suspended classes to pay respect following the Shahadat of Imam Ali Khamenei and over 200 innocent individuals in a recent attack in the Islamic Republic of Iran. This day of mourning is being observed across the campus to show solidarity with the brotherly neighboring country.
Examination Updates for Students
All examinations that were originally scheduled for March 2, 2026, have been cancelled. The university administration has stated that revised dates for these papers will be announced at a later time. Students are advised not to visit the campus for papers today and to wait for a fresh schedule from their respective departments.
