IUB New Official Schedule & Remote Work Policy
Following recent directives from the Higher Education Commission HEC and the Government of the Punjab S&GAD issued on March 10, 2026, the Vice-Chancellor of Islamia University Bahawalpur has approved the following measures to ensure the university continues to function effectively:
- Revised Weekly Schedule: The university will now operate on a four-day work week.
- Working Days: Monday through Thursday.
- Weekend/Off Days: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
- Remote Work Provisions: To maintain official business, up to 50% of staff members are permitted to work from home on an alternating day basis. Please note that this does not apply to those working in essential or emergency services.
Department heads and controlling officers are responsible for coordinating these schedules to ensure that departmental goals and services remain uninterrupted.
