IUB Announces Temporary Shift to Online Teaching
In accordance with the directive issued by the Government of Punjab through the Higher Education Department Notification No. SO EF-I MISE/2026 dated 9 March 2026, Islamia University of Bahawalpur has announced new academic arrangements. The instructions are effective immediately and apply to all campuses of the university. These measures outline the temporary closure of physical classes and the transition to online teaching for the specified period. The students and the teaching faculty will note that IUB Announces Temporary Shift to Online Teaching 10–31 March 2026.
Closure of Physical Classes on Campus
All academic activities and regular classroom teaching on university campuses will remain suspended from 10 March to 31 March 2026. During this time, students will not attend in-person classes at any campus.
Implementation of Online Teaching
All faculties and academic departments are required to conduct their teaching activities through online platforms during this period. Heads of departments and institutional administrators must ensure that the transition to online instruction is properly implemented and that all necessary arrangements are made to facilitate smooth academic operations.
Exam Arrangements
If any exams are scheduled during this period, they will take place according to the previously announced timetable. Students must appear at their designated exam centers as per the official schedule.
Eid Holiday Schedule
It is also noted that all academic activities, including online classes, will remain suspended during the official Eid holidays. The university administration will issue a separate notification to announce the exact dates of the Eid break.
This notification has been issued with the approval of the competent authority.
