HEC USAT 2024 for Undergraduate Admissions in Pakistan

The Higher Education Commission HEC, in collaboration with the Education Testing Council ETC, is set to administer the Undergraduate Studies Admission Test USAT for entry into undergraduate programs at universities across Pakistan. Modeled after the Scholastic Aptitude Test SAT, the USAT evaluates students eligibility for various disciplines, including Engineering, Medicine, IT, Management, and Social Sciences. Students are encouraged to submit their USAT applications online. Detailed information regarding USAT 2024 is provided below. Eligibility Criteria for USAT

Students who have completed their Higher Secondary School Certificate HSSC or equivalent education are eligible to apply for the USAT 2024.

Students who have appeared in their final examinations and are awaiting results can also apply for the USAT.

Selecting the Appropriate USAT Version

The USAT 2024 is divided into six distinct categories based on the students academic stream. A score of 50 or above qualifies as passing, with a maximum score of 100. Students should register for the test category that corresponds to their field of study:

USAT - E: Pre-Engineering

USAT - M: Pre-Medical

USAT - A: Arts & Humanities

USAT - CS: Computer Science

USAT - GS: General Science

USAT - COM: Commerce

USAT 2024 Schedule and Locations

The USAT is conducted quarterly in major cities across Pakistan, with additional tests scheduled based on demand. Candidates can fill out their USAT applications on the ETC portal. The tentative test date for USAT 2024 is July 14, 2024. Any changes to the schedule will be announced via the HEC ETC website and portal. The test will be held in the following cities:

Role of Universities in USAT

Pakistani universities will continue to announce their admission programs independently. Students applying to universities that accept the USAT must submit their respective USAT category ETC scorecards, which will be included in the merit-determining formula.

USAT 2024 Application Process

To apply for the USAT, follow these steps:

Visit the official HEC ETC website for online registration.

Create an account on the HEC ETC portal and start filling out your USAT application.

Ensure that only submitted applications are considered; applications in Save or Incomplete mode will not be entertained.

After completing the application, upload all required documents and submit the test fee through 1Link/1 Bill Invoice payment services using the generated consumer number.

After fee payment, click on "Verify Online Payment" on the ETC Dashboard.

Note that the test fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.

Registered applicants will receive examination details via email/SMS, so provide a valid email address and mobile number during registration.

Submit your application before the USAT registration deadline June 30, 2024.

Important Instructions

Bringing a mobile phone or any electronic device for calculating, recording, communicating, or imaging inside the USAT test center is strictly prohibited. Uploading or sharing images of the question booklet is an offense and punishable according to ETC rules and regulations.
