US-Pakistan Knowledge Corridor Project Objectives and Framework

The Higher Education Commission established the bilateral initiative to build long-term intellectual capacity and foster educational collaboration between Pakistan and the United States. By enabling high-achieving scholars to study abroad at globally recognized institutions, the HEC foreign PhD scholarships program addresses critical skills gaps in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and social sciences.

Under the project structure, candidates gain access to world-class academic resources while committing to return and contribute directly to Pakistans higher education sector. The initiative strictly targets institutions ranked within the top 100 globally according to QS World University Rankings, ensuring high educational standards for all selected awardees.
