According to the official notification issued by HEC, eligible students must complete their registration for the test before the closing date of March 20, 2026. All applicants are instructed to submit their registration forms through the designated online portal provided by the commission. The online system has been introduced to make the application process convenient and accessible for students across universities in the country.

The National Skill Competency Test is planned to take place on April 4 and April 5, 2026. This exam aims to assess the academic knowledge and practical capabilities of students studying in computing-related programs, helping them demonstrate their competency before entering the professional market. Through this test, the commission also intends to encourage higher academic standards and skill development among graduating students.

Students who intend to appear in the test have been strongly advised not to delay their application until the final day. Instead, they should complete the registration process as early as possible to avoid any technical or administrative issues that may arise near the closing date. Early registration will ensure that their applications are processed smoothly without last-minute complications.

For any guidance or clarification regarding the registration process, students are encouraged to get in touch with the designated focal person appointed by their respective universities. Each participating institution has nominated a representative who can assist students with the application procedure and other relevant details. The list containing the names and contact information of these focal persons has been made available on the official portal for students’ convenience.

Furthermore, students who successfully complete their registration are advised to keep checking their email accounts regularly. Important updates related to the exam, including the details of their allocated test centers and other instructions, will be shared with them through email notifications. By staying updated with these communications, students can ensure they are well prepared and informed ahead of the exam dates.
