HEC Launches Updated Computer Science Curriculum for 2025
Higher Education Commission HEC of Pakistan has introduced a revamped Computer Science curriculum for 2025, featuring over 14 advanced specializations designed to align academic education with global technology trends and support Pakistan’s digital transformation objectives. The students can get the fresh updates of HEC Launches Updated Computer Science Curriculum for 2025.
The updated syllabus incorporates cutting-edge fields such as Artificial Intelligence AI, Data Science, Cybersecurity, Robotics, and Quantum Computing. Additionally, it includes a professional certification component to ensure students gain both academic knowledge and industry-recognized practical skills.
New Computer Science Syllabus Introduces Advanced Specializations and Industry Skills
HEC also announced that the Associate Degree in Computing is now officially acknowledged as a skills-based qualification, providing new opportunities for students pursuing professional growth.
The new curriculum will be implemented across all universities, replacing the previous framework. Developed collaboratively with academia, industry experts, and government authorities, it emphasizes final-year projects and practical field experience, in line with the Undergraduate Education Policy 2023.
A HEC spokesperson highlighted that this reform is designed to produce graduates who are industry-ready and capable of meeting the challenges of a rapidly evolving digital economy.
