HEC Announces Special HAT for Major International Scholarships 2026
The Higher Education Commission HEC has announced the Special Higher Education Aptitude Test Special HAT 2026 for students seeking admission under prestigious national and international scholarship programs.
According to HEC, the test will be conducted by the Education Testing Council ETC and is mandatory for applicants interested in scholarships such as the Commonwealth Scholarship, Chinese Government Scholarship, and various other HEC-funded scholarship schemes.
The Special HAT is designed for candidates planning to pursue MS, M.Phil., Ph.D., and Doctoral degree programs through local and international scholarship opportunities.
HEC has announced that online registration will begin on Sunday, July 19, 2026, through the official ETC online portal. Interested applicants must complete their registration before the application deadline of Monday, August 3, 2026.
The Special HAT examination is scheduled to take place on Sunday, August 30, 2026. Candidates are advised to regularly visit the ETC portal to download their roll number slips, check their assigned test centers, and receive the latest examination updates.
Applicants can register by creating or logging into their account on the official Education Testing Council ETC website and completing the online application form before the closing date.
Students planning to apply for HEC international scholarships are encouraged to complete the registration process early to avoid any last-minute technical issues.
