HEC Announces Scholarship Program 2025
The Government of Punjab, through the Punjab Higher Education Commission HEC and the Higher Education Department HED, is proud to launch the Chief Minister’s Honhaar Undergraduate Scholarship Program 2025. This merit-based initiative aims to support 30,000 outstanding and deserving students from across the province in their pursuit of quality higher education.
This visionary program reflects the commitment of the Chief Minister of Punjab to invest in the province’s future by ensuring that talented students with limited financial resources are not deprived of educational opportunities.
About the Scholarship
The Honhaar Scholarship is designed to cover the tuition fee of eligible students enrolled in undergraduate programs across selected public and private universities and colleges. This financial support enables students to focus on their academics and realize their full potential.
Key Features
Number of Scholarships: 30,000
Coverage: Full tuition fee
Duration: As per the duration of the undergraduate degree program 4 to 5 years
Selection Weightage:
30% Matriculation SSC marks
70% Intermediate FSc/FA marks
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for this scholarship, the applicant must:
Have a domicile of Punjab.
Belong to a family with a monthly income less than:
Rs. 350,000 for students enrolled in Public Sector HEIs
Rs. 500,000 for those in Federal/Private Sector HEIs
Be enrolled in selected disciplines at recognized universities/colleges.
Have secured minimum marks in Intermediate FSc/FA as follows:

The scholarship is open to all genders and is awarded purely on merit.
No age limit for applicants.
