HEC Allows Two Years Degree Programs Till 2022

The Higher Education Commission HEC has decided to allow all higher educational institutions across the country two continue two years bachelors and masters BA/BSc and MA/MSc degrees. In a recent development, the vice chancellor of the University of Peshawar said that after a consultation with HEC, HEC has finally agreed to allow all higher education institutions to offer admissions in 2 year degree programs. All students can get admission in two year BA/BS and MA/MSc programs till 2022.

Earlier, the Higher Education Commission decided to terminate BA / BSc and MA / MSc programs. HEC also directed all universities and colleges to stop offering admission to these degree programs as the HEC would not recognize it. In addition to the HEC announcement, many institutions are also offering admission to two-year degree programs. Moreover, various universities had also protested against the decision as it would harm the students.
