Government Bans Advance Fee Charges by Private Schools

Sindh Education Department has prohibited private schools from charging advance or additional fees outside the prescribed timeline. This directive, issued by Additional Director Rafia Javed, aims to alleviate the financial burden on parents and ensure compliance with the newly outlined guidelines. The students and teachers can get the latest updates of Government Bans Advance Fee Charges by Private Schools.

Circular Issued Under Ministerial Guidance

Following instructions from Sindh Education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah, the Directorate of Inspection and Private Institutions released a circular to regulate fee collection practices. The decision was part of the Steering Committee’s recommendations, which include starting the 2025-26 academic year on April 1, 2025. Additionally, matriculation exams are scheduled to commence on March 15, 2025.

Specific Fee Collection Timeline for 2025

To ease financial pressure, schools have been directed to limit tuition fees for matriculation students to the period ending in April 2025. For other students, such as those transitioning between grades, fees for the summer months of June and July 2025 must be collected in April and May 2025, respectively.

Monthly Fee Vouchers to Ensure Transparency

The circular mandates the issuance of separate monthly fee vouchers. For instance, vouchers for June 2025 should be valid until June 30, 2025, while those for July 2025 should remain valid until July 31, 2025. This measure is intended to enhance transparency and streamline the fee collection process.

Warning Against Non-Compliance

Private school principals and administrators across Sindh are instructed to strictly adhere to these guidelines. The notice emphasizes that failure to comply will result in strict action. The regulations take effect immediately and are mandatory for all private schools in the province.
