ETEA Computer-Based Entrance Test 2026 for Engineering Admissions

The University of Engineering and Technology UET, Peshawar, in collaboration with the Educational Testing and Evaluation Agency ETEA, has announced the opening of the ETEA Computer-Based Entrance Test CBT 2026. This centralized entrance examination is a mandatory requirement for students seeking B.Sc. Engineering, Bachelor of Engineering Technology B.E.Tech, and UET Peshawar B. Architecture admission 2026 across public and private sector engineering universities and colleges within Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. In accordance with the Pakistan Engineering Council PEC policy, candidates will be assessed through two separate entrance tests.

Understanding Eligibility and Test Structure

To participate in the UET Peshawar engineering programs admissions process, candidates must meet specific academic standards. Eligibility extends to those who have passed their Intermediate examinations in Pre-Engineering, Computer Science, or Pre-Medical with additional Mathematics from a recognized Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education BISE. Additionally, candidates holding a three-year post-matric Diploma of Associate Engineer DAE or B-Tech qualifications are eligible to apply, including those currently awaiting their final results.

The CBT format is designed for efficiency, with no negative marking applied. The test structure of UET Peshawar varies by candidate stream:

Intermediate Pre-Engineering/Computer Science, Pre-Medical with additional Maths, A-Level, DAE, and B-Tech candidates will complete 100 MCQs covering Physics 40, Mathematics 35, English 15, and Chemistry/Computer Science 10.

Intermediate Pre-Medical candidates will complete 65 MCQs focusing on Physics 40, English 15, and Chemistry 10.

Important Registration Timeline

Applicants are encouraged to plan their entrance test registration carefully to ensure they meet all deadlines.

Test-I: Online registration runs from June 16, 2026, to June 30, 2026, with the test scheduled for July 4 and July 5, 2026.

Test-II: Online registration runs from July 6, 2026, to July 19, 2026, with the test scheduled for July 25 and July 26, 2026.

Application Procedure

Candidates must apply online via the official website, and submit a non-refundable fee of Rs. 1000/- per test. Roll number slips will be available one week prior to the examination date. Upon successful completion of the test, candidates are required to follow the separate online application procedures for admission to UET Peshawar as announced by the university.
