Dow University of Health Sciences: Gateway to Excellence in Medical Education
In a significant development, Dow University of Health Sciences DUHS takes the lead in facilitating admissions to all private medical and dental universities/colleges in the Sindh province for the academic session 2023-24. This initiative, in compliance with the order No.SOMEI-I-AP/2023-24, dated 12th October 2023, underscores DUHSs commitment to fostering medical education and ensuring access to quality healthcare training.
Private Medical and Dental Universities/Colleges:
Dow University of Dental University DUHS invites applications for admission to various private medical and dental institutions in Sindh, offering programs such as MBBS and BDS for the academic session 2023-24. Recognized by the Pakistan Nursing Council PNC and affiliated with the University of Health Sciences UHS and Nursing Examination Board Punjab NEBP, these institutions uphold the highest standards of medical education.
Eligibility Criteria:
For the 4-year MBBS program, candidates must have passed Intermediate/HSSC Pre-Medical or an equivalent examination with a minimum of 60% marks. Additionally, candidates must have passed the MDCAT 2023 with at least 55% marks for MBBS and 50% marks for BDS admission.
Admission Procedure:
Prospective students can access the prospectus on the respective university/college websites. To apply, candidates need to fill out the online application form, submit it along with required documents, and pay the processing fee of Rs 2500/-. The last date for online submission is Friday, 05-01-2024.
Merit Criteria:
The merit criteria include SSC/Matric or equivalent 10%, HSSC/F.Sc or equivalent 40%, and MDCAT 2023 score 50%. The weightage emphasizes academic excellence and performance in the MDCAT examination.
