China Offers Fully Funded BS MS & PhD Scholarships to Pakistani Students

The Chinese Scholarship Council has announced 75 fully funded scholarships for Pakistani students for the 2026–27 academic session, under China’s initiative to expand educational cooperation with Pakistan. The Higher Education Commission of Pakistan will function as the official nominating body responsible for screening and recommending eligible candidates. The students can get fresh updates of China Offers Fully Funded BS, MS and PhD Scholarships to Pakistani Students for 2026–27.

Programs Offered

Under this scholarship program, international students can pursue Undergraduate, Master’s and PhD degrees across a variety of disciplines. A compulsory one-year Chinese language preparatory course is included where required.

Undergraduate applicants must complete the preparatory year unless they already hold a valid HSK Level 3 certificate. Master’s and PhD applicants may choose programs taught either in English or Chinese.

Financial Benefits

The CSC scholarship covers full tuition, administration charges and health insurance through the host university. Students are also provided free dormitory accommodation or a housing subsidy, along with a monthly stipend based on their degree level. Travel expenses, however, must be paid by the student. HEC does not bear any financial responsibility under this scheme.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must be Pakistani or AJK nationals and medically fit. Candidates with incomplete degrees at the time of application will not be considered.

Candidates must also meet CSC’s eligibility rules and the admission standards of their selected university. Students cannot hold another scholarship simultaneously, and they must submit valid USAT for BS or HAT for MS/PhD scores with a minimum of 50 out of 100.

Valid test scores include:

USAT taken on or after January 6, 2025
HAT taken on or after January 6, 2024
Results from the upcoming December 7, 2025 test

Applicants applying to professional programs like medicine, engineering, law, architecture or veterinary sciences must ensure accreditation from the relevant councils such as PMDC, PEC, PNC, PCATP, PBC and PVMC. Medical applicants must also follow PMDC’s latest foreign admission policy.

Students must submit separate applications on the HEC Portal and the CSC Portal.
