About Government College University Faisalabad
The Government College University Faisalabad was established as a primary school in 1897 in Karkhana bazaar and it was promoted to High School in 1905 and after that it was developed as the Intermediate College in 1924. Then the status of the college was promoted as the degree college in 1933 and the postgraduate classes were started in 1963. This college was reached to its climax in October 2002. This college university has made the development plan in education and the physical development of its students.
GCU of Women Faisalabad is enabling the environment to provide the intellectual and physical infrastructure and the students can have the highest moral and ethical values. Higher Education Commission has recognized this institute as the higher level learning and knowledge in about all faculties and disciplines. The GCUF is striving hard for the promotion of the standard of education and the research culture. This institute will evaluate and improve the curriculum of all programs to meet the national and international standards of education. The institute is also working to improve the communication skills of the teachers and the teaching methods by the introduction of the capacity building programs.
The GCUF offers the admissions to the students in the inter, bachelor and postgraduate classes and the MPhil and PhD classes are also started for the students and during the academic year, the students complete their studies and after the end of the year, the annual exams are conducted.
