HEC Announces Scholarship Opportunity 2025

The Higher Education Commission HEC of Pakistan invites applications from talented and deserving students belonging to Balochistan and erstwhile FATA for fully funded undergraduate scholarships under the project titled:

“Provision of Higher Education Opportunities for Students of Balochistan and Erstwhile FATA Phase-III” — Batch-IV

These scholarships are available for academic year 2025–26 in all disciplines at HEC-recognized public and private sector universities/Degree Awarding Institutions DAIs across Pakistan.

Eligibility Criteria

To apply, the applicant must:

Be 22 years of age or younger as of the application closing date.

Hold a valid domicile/local certificate of Balochistan or erstwhile FATA, verified by the district administration both self and father/guardian.

Have completed 12 years of education FA/FSc/ICS/ICom/DAE or equivalent with at least 60% marks.

Have obtained all required academic qualifications on or before the closing date.

Not be availing any other HEC/government scholarship.

Not be awaiting results of their qualifying exam.

Applicant’s CNIC or Juvenile Card

Father/Guardians CNIC

Domicile/Local Certificate self & father/guardian

Educational certificates/transcripts from recognized boards

No hard copies are required at this stage.

Tentative Test Date November 16, 2025 Sunday

Applicants are advised to apply well before the deadline and regularly check the HEC website and their email inbox for updates.

Aptitude Test Details

Minimum Qualifying Marks: 50%

Test Composition:

Field Knowledge – 60 Marks

English – 30 Marks

Biostatistics & Analytical Reasoning – 10 Marks

Total: 100 Marks

Important Notes

Scholarships will be awarded strictly on merit and district quota.

Selection is based on academic credentials and aptitude test performance.

50:50 quota applies between Balochistan and erstwhile FATA.

Reserved seats are for scholars only not general applicants.

Students already enrolled in MBBS/BDS/Engineering programs can apply for the scholarship but not for reserved seats.

Students currently enrolled in general Bachelors programs are eligible for scholarships.

Applicants must use their own CNIC or Juvenile Card no substitutes.

Forged or fake documents/information will result in disqualification at any stage.

PM&DC rules and eligibility will apply for medical/dental program candidates.

Entry into the test requires original CNIC or Juvenile Card—no alternate ID accepted.
