Educational Institutions To Overcome Academic Losses :FDE

The Federal Directorate of Education, Islamabad, Ministry of Federal Education & Professional Training has issued the directions for the schools and colleges in Islamabad Capital Territory to overcome the losses faced by students on their studies due to long term vacations during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The FDE introduce two approaches to overcome the losses. These approaches include short term approach and long term approach.

Short Term Approach

According to short term approach, the FDE ordered the Federal Education Institutions have to conduct the general examinations in August 2021. The schools are directed to start zero periods during the morning or at the end of school timings to help the students in covering the syllabus to meet the huge study losses. The FDE suggested the schools and colleges to divide the students in to groups according to their levels and grades.

Long Term Approach

In long term approach, the Federal Directorate of Education, Islamabad has directed the schools and colleges to make a proper planning for next two to three years to cope with the impacts of losses during next sessions.

The FDE has also directed to utilize the summer vacations of the sessions 2021, 2022 and 2023 to help the students to overcome the academic losses. Moreover, FDE also directed the teachers to make suitable and proper lesson planning in special concern with covering the syllabus to overcome the academic loss. The administration and supervisory staff is instructed to conduct hold the meetings regularly to monitor and plan the strategies to overcome the losses.
