The University of Engineering and Technology Lahore has officially announced the Combined Entrance Test ECAT-2026, First for students seeking admission to B.Sc. Engineering and Computing programs. This mandatory entrance test is the first step for students aiming to join public and private sector engineering institutions across Punjab for the Fall 2026 session. As an institution with 104 years of academic excellence, UET continues to lead the way in technical education.
Aspiring engineers can now explore UET Courses 2026 and prepare for the upcoming examination cycle. Notably, the university has announced that there is no passing threshold for any program and no negative marking in the ECAT.

The entrance test is a prerequisite for a variety of undergraduate disciplines, including:
- B.Sc. Engineering Programs
- BS Computer Science and other Computing disciplines
- Mathematics, Physics, and Statistics related fields
Eligibility Criteria
To participate in the UET Admissions 2026 process, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Anyone can appear in the Entrance Test; however, appearance does not automatically confer the right to apply for admission.
- Intermediate level qualification or equivalent is required for the test subjects.
- Candidates must select a subject combination based on their Intermediate background, such as Physics, Mathematics, English, and Chemistry/Computer Science.
Admission Schedule
Candidates must strictly adhere to the following timeline to ensure their eligibility:
- Last date for purchasing ONLINE tokens: Sunday, March 22, 2026.
- Admit Card printing starts: Tuesday, March 24, 2026 Evening.
- Entrance Test Dates: Monday, March 30, 2026, to Friday, April 03, 2026.
- Official Result Declaration: Friday, April 17, 2026.
Scholarship and Financial Details
While specific scholarship percentages are determined during the formal admission phase, the initial application involves:
- An application processing fee of Rs. 3,000/-.
- Payments can be made via HBL online banking, HBL KONNECT, UBL Mobile app, or at any UBL branch.
- Entrance test tokens are non-refundable and non-transferable.
